The awards honour Domenic Troiano (1947 – 2005) who is credited by many as the catalyst of the 'Toronto Sound' in the 1960's. He played a principle role in Mandala, The Guess Who, Bush and The James Gang. Troiano scored multiple movie and television themes and was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1966.

The awards in 2015 go to: Don Alder (multi-genre category), Steve Cowan (Newfoundland, classical guitar), and Sam Dickinson (Ontario, jazz guitar).

Sorry that we sort of missed the release deadline which was July, but the good news is that we now have a very special guest on the CD. BILLY SHEEHAN of Mr Big. Billy is a virtuoso Rock Bass Player and after meeting him a few times he agreed to guest on track.
That said.. my acoustic track didn't work so had to put on an electric; thanks to Dave Martone at his "Brainworks Studio" for helping me get the job done. There is huge variation of material on this CD making it a challenge to master. Huge thanks to Cass Anawaty for putting his superb mastering touch on the CD to make it all gel and come together. He can be found at Sunbreak Music.
